Sad that over a month has gone by without me posting! Guess that means we are getting settled, huh? There is always something to explore here which I really do enjoy! In February Katie tried sumo wrestling at school. Both boys started playing basketball on the weekends at the new American Club. My neighbor Kris and I went to a tableware festival that was in a large convention center type building, the Tokyo Dome. It was amazing all of the displays there and we each bought a tea set with bunnies for the Year of the Rabbit. Kyle attended 3 classmates' birthday parties which he enjoyed including a slumber party! Katie attended the daddy/daughter dance at the American Club while the boys and I went to Panic for dinner and then bowling. I took Trevor to his first concert, Taylor Swift. It was a lot of fun even though it was short! The kids also went to the dentist for the first time here. It was a great experience and they all got good check ups! My Here and Now group threw a baby shower for another Tokyo newcomer, New country and baby all in the same year-now that's adventurous! I finished by Beth Moore Bible study on the Psalms of Ascent and started my own book club! Can't wait to meet in March to discuss our first book! I also helped with Katie's Daisy Scout troop as she had a sleep under and World Thinking Day. The girls learned about Nepal and it was so much fun and educational too! The girls had pizza, brownies, hot cocoa.....and the Moms had fruit with dip, bean dip, guacamole, salad, so everyone had a great night! I'm really thankful for the people that God has put me in contact with. I have met some really amazing people and feel really blessed to be here and experience so much! It is so hard being far away from family and friends, but I know it is just for a season. I am trying to embrace this season that I am in for now. I will post some random pics from the above events. :):)
